Main focus was Forms Builder, a critical module that enabled HR and payroll teams to design and manage dynamic forms used throughout the platform by end clients. .NET Developer / OutSystems Developer

Joined as an OutSystems developer; my .NET skills were recognised and I moved to the core .NET team after six months. Built microservices for Planet's Tax Free Issuing platform, enabling international travellers to claim VAT refunds on purchases across Europe. Implemented the Saga pattern for asynchronous transactions and built integration layers connecting the OutSystems frontend to the distributed .NET backend. Worked with .NET 6, REST APIs, EF Core, SQL Server, Docker, Kubernetes (AKS), Redis, Azure Service Bus and Auth0.

Brazil

Relocated from the UK to Brazil and stepped away from software engineering to explore a different path, including training in artisan bread and pizza baking with a view to opening a bakery. I decided not to go ahead with it and returned to full-time engineering in 2021.
